A collection of face brushes I like using for powders, highlighters, bronzer, and contouring, and how I  personally use them.

Powders

1) the It cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Flattop Buffing Brush
2) the large powder brush by Borghese in the center was apart of an exclusive set several years ago.
3) the BH Cosmetics Duo Fiber brush- set. The duo fiber brush on the website is sold individually but in a different style. I remember when stipple brushes were all the rage and now they are rarely heard of.

How I Use Each Brush

For pressed and loose powder, I like using the Heavenly Luxe for more coverage. This brush works great with my MAC Studio Fix and Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Powder Foundation.

I use the large Borghese brush to blend everything together. If necessary, I sometimes use the large powder brush with loose foundation to set my makeup. It is too bad this brush was in a limited edition set and never made for individual resale.

I use concealer all over my face, so the BH Cosmetics Stipple brush works to blend it out. If I put too much blush or bronzer, I have found the stipple brush works well to blend out harsh lines.

Contouring, Blush, Highlighter, and Bronzer

1) BH Cosmetics Contour Brush
2) Tarte Swirl Powder and Contour Bronzer Blush

I am still figuring out these two brushes. The BH brush is very soft, and the Tarte brush is much firmer and covers more. I found the BH brush works much better with blushes and bronzer. The Tarte blush is great to blend out any harsh contour lines.

The brushes mentioned were not purchased individually. I’m not a big brush collector. These brushes make it easier and less complicated to do my makeup.
