3 ($5) is a glitter finish. My swatch is just picking up the cool-brown base. 3 is loaded with glitter. It’s not the hard chunky type and more fine. I’ve been getting more into cooler toned shades, so 3 is perfect.

CP Gel Liners are a close dupe for the Stila Smudge Sticks. On YT, I’ve seen gurus use the liners mainly for tight and water lining (the liner is so thin). However, I still use it as a regular liner even though I can’t make a full thick line.

Finish

  • matte

Shade

  • black (not intense but medium)

Type

  • retractable

Colourpop Gel Liner ($5) and also comes in a pot.

Colourpop Creme Gel in Dope Taupe ($6)

Benefits

  • Very creamy
  • Dries down to a powder
  • Harsh lines are easily blended and soften without having to add other products to lighten.
  • Stays put with zero fading (it’s not waterproof).

I have zero to complain about with the CP Gel Brow. They also have a matching pencils ($5).

   Sideline

(I didn’t realize it was swatched too light on my hand)

  Play by Play

High Strung

Running Late

Sideline, Play by Play, and High Strung are metallic and Running Late is matte. Compared to their Super Shock Shadows, the pressed powder is truer to color even though they are bold. The formula of the metallics and matte were not powdery, had minimal fallout, and excellent on the pigmentation. I love wearing metallic shadows. Most metallic shadows I’ve used get dry, are hard to blend out, and I often end up spreading them all over. CP’s metallics did not do any of that. Running Late also did a very good job for a matte shadow. On the brush, I only need to swipe them twice for added intensity.  The shadows are very close to a dupe for the ABH Singles.

The pressed shadows are sold individually. There are a few premade palettes for ($18).

Colourpop has new tie dye highlighters. Tie Dye highlighter feels exactly like the Stila Heaven’s Hue Highlighter on steroids. Whipped is described as satin, tie dye, pearlized finish in the golds and bronze shades and more towards medium skin tones. In person, it has microglitter with a slight pink/lavender hue.  It stays on for a fair amount of time. On me, it lasted a few hours. Even though the formula is not pressed, it is super silky.  I think this is one of the silkiest highlighters I’ve touched.

Whipped is sold individually and in a set.

Colourpop came out with limited edition pearlized duo chrome highlighters ($8). Honeymoon is one of the four shades. Honeymoon reminds me of the ABH Moon Child Glow Kit. I started getting more into duochrome makeup, but the highlighter is a hit/miss for me. I do love Lunch Money and hit pan, and Honeymoon is my second highlighter. The formula feels very light and moosey compared to their original highlighters. With its pearlized finished, Honeymoon has a silvery white base with tons of blue/lavender shifts which served as a problem for me. The highlighter on me looked like a white glittery strip. However, I started playing around with the Honeymoon and tried it as an eyeshadow and it worked great. I’m still doubting this highlighter.

The pearlized highlighters are still available.

Mug Shot

  Kween

   My Jam Ultra Glossy Lip

During the Holidays, Colourpop was offering free things every week with purchase. I was able to get three free lip colors included in my haul.

Ultra Metallic lips- Mug Shot and Kween are two very different shades. Mug shot is described as a cranberry red, and Kween is described as a Marsala. I remember when these first came out last year I was reluctant to buy them. In all the pics of the Metallics, they look like they had way too much metallic. The metallic did not serve as a problem. I found the formula to be very comfortable and light. Their texture is lighter than the Ultra Mattes and Satins. I don’t think they fall under the category as an actual liquid lipstick. These do transfer and leave behind some metallic on the lips.

Ultra  Glossy lips-  My Jam reminds me of those Jouer Lip Toppers all the Youtubers are using. I haven’t used lip gloss all that much in the past year. My Jam stood out to me. The My Jam brush does take out alot of product and some of the product has to be whipped. I made the mistake of adding too much gloss on my bottom lip with a matte lip shade and it caused some separation.

These are Brittany approved!

I’m disappointed on the limited Colourpop lippie pencil ($5) reviews. I have Dopey pencil w/Ultra Satin ($11). The pencil is very smooth, has a fine tip, and a matte finish. It did not weigh down my lips. I own Toolips lip liner. Both lip liners offer a sharp defined lip line where I don’t have to over draw my lips. I forgot to do a close up shot of the pencil tip. Some pencils get dull and break very quickly even after a fresh sharpen. When I resharpened the pencil, I was able to get about four more uses.  The pencils blend in so well with their coordinating shades it is hard to tell there is a full liner underneath.

 Desert

Glitterati

Desert (permanent shade in limited edition packaging for the holidays) is described as a satin peach tan. I love wearing the shade on its own or to warm up the crease. Glitterati (limited edition repromoted) is described as a metallic silver with gold glitter. In person, I noticed Glitterati appears to have olive flecks mixed in with the gold. Glitterati is far from a dupe for their Super Shock Shadow in Liberty. I don’t own Liberty, but from the swatches I’ve seen, Liberty is a true silver blast and highly pigmented. Glitterati is a softer version of Liberty.

Super Shock Shadow is ($5) on Colourpop.
