Buxom Amanda, Gabby, and Zoe Lipglosses

the Buxom lip glosses are described as

A high-shine plumping gloss tingles to coax a gorgeous lip look while pampering and moisturizing with vitamins A and E. Lips stay lusciously soft, plumped, and seriously sexy.

Here are  Amanda , Gabby , and Zoe $20 ec at 0.15 oz/ 4.44 mL. Buxom has been around for several years and hardly reviewed. I’ve been using their glosses for 3yrs.

Amanda is a clear gloss loaded up with shimmer

Gabby was the original gloss I owned. At one time, Buxom was under the same roof as Bare Minerals. I think the brand separate, reformulated their glosses, and changed their logo. Since there is not much said about Buxom, I’m only guessing they are a separate company. The new Gabby is completely different in color.  Compared to the original, I noticed the new Gabby looks fuller in coverage and has better pigmentation. It doesn’t matter. Gabby has been perfect on top of all my browns and rosey shades. This is my second time repurchasing.

Extra details of Gabby. Either way, Gabby is still a pretty shade.

Zoe is very wearable and gives off a fair amount of pigment on its own.

Buxom is one of my ‘underrated’ high end brands. I know lip gloss is lip gloss, but I feel the Buxom line is very unique and actually worth the purchase.  Their glosses are good quality, nonsticky, and easy to wear.

Bite Beauty Prismatic Lip Glosses

Rose Pearl 0.14 oz/ 4.14 mL and Oyster Pearl 0.14 oz/ 4.14 mL are $22 each. The glosses are creme base, slightly opaque, full on shimmer, and can either be worn on their own or as a topper. The wands are tear drop shaped making it easier to apply and outline.  If the lip colors are in the same shade family as the gloss, the opacity won’t compete with the color. When I wear it as topper, I just put a little in the center of my lips. The glosses are not super long wearing, and once they fade, they do leave behind a little shimmer.

Rose Pearl

 Oyster Pearl

I never thought I would love a shade like Oyster Pearl. Oyster Pearl has such a unique blend of a taupey/brown base with silver/blue shimmer.

For myself, Rose and Oyster Pearl are a nice change from wearing nudes and look very different from my other glosses.

Milk Makeup After Party and Gig Eye Pigments

Milk Makeup Eye Pgiments ($24 ec) Gig and After Party

Brand’s Description

Long-Wearing Crease-free and long-wearing cream shadows stay out as late as you do.
Intense Payoff Each shade is packed with pearlescent pigments for full payoff in a single swipe.
Multi-Use Swipe ‘em all over your lids for a bold shadow look, or use an angled brush to create a long-wear liner.

My Description

They surprisingly live up to their description. Cream products are not for everyone. I hated using creams because of creasing, cracking, and fading. As I was playing with them, they stayed in place for up to 12hrs with very minimal creasing. I love how they can be worn alone or with a complete eye look. Alone, they seriously pop. During application, I had to apply a little at a time to build intensity. I accidently applied too much, and the shadow started bunching up. To avoid buildup, a small amount is needed. Even though it is in a tube, the tube pushes out just enough product without being excessive.

The white tubes are easy to clean off excess makeup.

The tube is designed so well. It pinches out the right amount. For product sanitation, I like that I don’t need to stick my finger in a tube.

I was impressed at the size of the tubes for $24. Pigments are a product I won’t have to worry about getting backups.

The pigments will work for people who are seeking to start out with cream products and won’t mind the price.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Truffle Glitter Single Shadow

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Shadow Singles Truffle Glitter 0.059 oz/ 1.7 g $12 is a metallic warm brown and permanent.

Brand’s Description

A finely-milled, full pigment, eyeshadow formula in eight finishes: titanium, duo-chrome, ultra-matte, metallic, satin, shimmer, sparkle, and velvet.

My Description

  • the metallic formula is very easy to blend. I use a brush or my finger.
  • micro silver and gold flecks contributing to the texture.
  • minimal fallout and flaking. I was impressed because most textured shadows will flake off after a few moments, but after two hours of wear, it was still in place. The texture is so easy to work with.
  • can easily be worn dry. I don’t wet textured shadows since I often wear a tacky base or shadow glitter glue. The shade is enough on its own without taking extra steps.

Benefit GALifornia Blush

Benefit Cosmetics GALifornia Blush GALifornia 0.17 oz/ 5.0 g $29 and permanate.

Brand’s description:

Benefit’s NEW GALifornia golden pink blush is part sun, pure fun! It blends bright pink with shimmering gold, for a sunkissed glow that complements all skintones. The soft, blendable formula captures the warmth of California sunshine, while the signature scent features notes of pink grapefruit & vanilla.

Golden pink powder blush
Embellished gold overspray lifts away with each use
Includes custom rounded blush brush and mirror

the blush is also award winning and free of talc and parabens.

I have a hard time with blush. I don’t know what it is about blush that makes me think I’m applying it incorrectly. However, I’m very pleased with GALifornia. GALifornia looks amazing over bronzer, the sun does not leave behind large particals of glitter but leaves more of a soft shimmer, and on its own, it does not streak and looks more like a wash of color. Shimmery blushes either have too much shimmer and looks weird. GALifornia is very micro fine and silky.

Other details:

  • The mirrors is impossible to use
  • The sun in the blush is going to fade out after the first use
  • Packaging has plenty of detail

Bite Beauty Multisticks in Cashew and Gelato

Gelato

Bite Beauty Multistick Gelato 0.17oz / 4.75 g

Cashew

Bite Beauty Multistick Cashew 0.17oz / 4.75 g

The tube is magnetic, so when the cap goes on it snaps shut.

Formula is a multi purpose cream able to be used on eyes, cheeks, and lips.

Eyes– I was able to smoothly use both shades as transition shadow colors without them creasing even after two hours. As shadow, they are ok, and I didn’t care for them. On the lid, individually, they looked more like an eye tint as supposed to an actual shadow. As an individual shadow, I’ll pass.

Cheeks– I love both shades as blush. I use them individually and as blush toppers. Individually, Gelato did not give off a ‘sickly’ look, and Cashew is very flattering. As blush, the sticks did streak, fade, or look patchy, and easy to blend. The easiest motion I liked was applying it directly from the tube with three separated spaces, and then blending them out.

Lips– they make amazing, creamy, full coverage lipsticks. They can also be applied directly from the tube. However, if one wants a more precise line, then maybe use a lip brush. For myself, I don’t like lip brushes and managed to get a precise line.

When I’m in a hurry, the sticks are very helpful when I don’t feel like doing a full on face look. I got a feeling Cashew will be a frequently repurchased.

The Multisticks are $24 each exclusively to Sephora and the Bite Beauty website.

Urban Decay Moondust Palette😍

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette $49 with 8 exclusive shades. The shadows are pressed glitters with multi facets of shifty goodness. The shadows have so much shift they almost change color in different lighting.

The shade that stood out to me the most was Element. Under direct light the shade looks red, and under florescent light it looks burnt orange. Specter has more pigment in person. I thought it was going to be a weak color and more as a highlight, but it had good color payoff. Specter, Vega, and Lithium are my faves. I still have yet to try Element, Granite, and Magnetic.

The swatches are dry without a base. They can be applied with a finger or brush depending on preference. In order to make the shadows hooded eye friendly, it is best to apply glitter glue (for mostly glitter eyeshadow to adhere to the lid). If you want to wear them alone or with crease colors, is up to you.

Moondust palette isn’t going to be for everyone. I normally do not wear pigments because they don’t always work. The pressed pigments like the Moondust does work for me.

Urban Decay did a great job putting this palette together. I hope they make these shades individual.

Buxom Single Shadow Mink Magnet

Buxom Eyeshadow Bar Single Eyeshadow Mink Magnet 0.05 oz

The Buxom Single Eyeshadow Bars ($12 ec or $40 for 6 to build a custom palette) is one of my faves for single shadows. Mink Magnet (permanent) is a warm metallic taupe. However, I did notice the shadow was faintly chunky during application but did not have a problem with fallout.

Mink Magent is on my recommendations list for anyone interested in starting off with neutral shadows.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Auora Glow Kit

Abh Auora Glow Kit

Is the latest set if six unicornish highlighters. In person, the shades are very glittery and intense. Depending on how you like your highlighters, this kit isn’t for everyone. I personally never wear shades like Orion or Spectrum and go for more golden shades. As I was researching the Glow Kits, many say they can be used as shadows. When I tried them as shadows, they looked a little grainy in texture.

Glow Kit did work for me. If she releases more highlighter Glow Kits in the fall/winter, I can’t wait to see them.
